Washington, DC –Today Winning For Women, an organization that supports right-of-center women in their pursuit of leadership opportunities, announced its endorsement of Cindy Hyde-Smith for the U.S. Senate. Smith was appointed to the U.S. Senate seat vacated by Sen. Thad Cochran in April 2018, and is a candidate in the 2018 Mississippi special election for the remainder of Cochran’s term, which ends in 2021.
“As the first woman to represent the state of Mississippi in Congress, and the first woman to serve as Commissioner of Agriculture and Commerce in Mississippi, Cindy is a trailblazer who knows how to turn passion into tangible results,” said Winning For Women Executive Director Rebecca Schuller.“A fifth-generation cattle farmer, Cindy has spent her whole life working on behalf of farmers, ranchers, Mississippi families, and small businesses. Now, in the U.S. Senate, she has one mission – do whatever she can to help Mississippi residents grow and thrive. Winning For Women is proud to endorse Cindy in her senate campaign, and looks forward to her continued leadership in Washington.”
Winning For Women’s extensive, nationwide membership network is excited and ready to support Cindy Hyde-Smith as she runs for U.S. Senate in Mississippi.
