Winning For Women Action Fund New Ad: Patty Murray Turned Her Back on Washington’s Law Enforcement

August 25, 2022

WASHINGTON, DC –Winning For Women Action Fund launched a digital ad campaign highlighting the increase in crime across Washington State. The ad targets U.S. Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) for her calls to defund the police.

“Senator Murray has been given nearly 30 years to improve the lives of Washingtonians and, instead, is part of the problem,” said Annie Dickerson, Chair and Founder of Winning For Women Action Fund. “Great cities like Seattle are no longer recognizable and are unsafe for its own citizens, much less tourists. It’s time for big changes in Washington and everyone knows it. Tiffany Smiley provides the experience and energy for a new generation of leadership.”

The transcript of the ad is below.

“Out of touch politicians. They attacked police and slashed their budgets.

“Now violent crime across Washington is up, and there aren’t enough police to stop it.

“So why is Patty Murray making things harder for law enforcement?

“Murray backs legislation that would make it more dangerous for police to do their jobs, and protect our communities.

“Patty Murray turned her back on law enforcement. And your community is paying the price.”
