Expand Housing Supply & Cut Red Tape

America’s housing crisis is driven by a simple reality: we are not building enough homes to meet demand. The bipartisan 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act takes meaningful steps to fix that by cutting unnecessary regulatory barriers, modernizing outdated federal housing programs, and empowering local communities to build and expand housing options. For too long, burdensome red tape and slow approval processes have driven up costs and put homeownership out of reach for working families, young professionals, and first-time buyers. This legislation that WFW-backed leaders supported reverse that trend by making it easier to build, finance, and access affordable housing – bringing the American Dream back within reach and supporting stronger communities across the country.

But more work remains. That’s why lawmakers should continue advancing solutions like H.R. 2725, the bipartisan Affordable Housing Credit Improvement Act, which builds on this momentum by further removing barriers to housing development and expanding opportunities for families to achieve stable, affordable homeownership. Congress should act swiftly to pass H.R. 2725 and keep delivering real solutions that put American families first.
