WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Winning For Women (WFW) released the following statement after Senators Joni Ernst (R-IA) and Mike Lee (R-UT) announced a paid parental leave proposal:

“No one should have to choose between working or starting a family. Winning For Women commends Senators Ernst and Lee for proposing a paid family leave plan that helps address the unique challenges of working parents in the 21st century. Many of our grassroots members are suburban women and working moms, and we’re excited to see Republicans talking about issues that matter to them,” said WFW spokeswoman Olivia Perez-Cubas.
