Winning For Women Launches Six-Figure Ad Buy in Five Key Districts

Ads show the financial burden open border policies have put on taxpayers

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Winning For Women (WFW) announced a six-figure investment in digital ads highlighting the financial burden open border policies have put on American taxpayers. The ads will run in five key House districts. In two of the spots, they urge viewers to call Reps. Don Davis (NC-01) and Pat Ryan (NY-18) to let them know that taking care of their own family is already expensive enough, and that they need to vote to secure the border. The remaining three ads encourage viewers to call Reps. Michelle Steel (CA-45), Lori Chavez-DeRemer (OR-05), and Jen Kiggans (VA-02) to tell them to keep fighting for legislation that secures the border and ends this fiscal crisis.

“Every time families go to the grocery store or visit the doctor’s office, they are reminded that open border policies have sent costs through the roof,” said Danielle Barrow, Executive Director of Winning For Women. “Illegal immigration is costing the average family $2,312 more per year, a financial burden that American taxpayers cannot afford to bear.”

You can view a sample of the ads here and here.

Transcript (NC-01 and NY-18)

Feeding three today costs more like three hundred.

One doctor visit costs like a dozen.

Thanks to Congressman Don Davis’ open border policy,

Illegal immigration now costs families over two thousand dollars a year.

And Davis voted against securing the border,

Which allows more crossings,

And puts you on the hook for his medical bills, her groceries, his education.

Call Congressman Davis.

Tell him taking care of your own family is tough enough.

Background

The Winning For Women (WFW) entities were proud to provide women candidates with unprecedented resources in the 2022 cycle. Through our SuperPAC – the first dedicated solely to electing Republican women, 501(c)(4) and connected PAC, and other hard dollar efforts, we raised over $17 million to support right-of-center women. WFW conducted targeted issue advocacy campaigns, briefings with partner organizations, DC and in-district press events, and mentorship programs. Our political arm hosted national fundraisers that raised nearly $4 million in hard dollars, and WFW AF spent over $8 million in independent expenditure campaigns to advance women through contested races.

This cycle, WFW PAC has already backed over a dozen House candidates and incumbents running for re-election. WFW AF’s leadership has already raised over $1 million in hard dollars for WFW PAC’s endorsed candidates, and has scheduled multiple fundraisers throughout the country to ensure they have the resources needed to win.
